Please telephone the surgery to make an appointment with a Doctor. Requests for an appointment will be taken from 8.00am. You can book a routine appointment 48 working hours ahead or up to 2 weeks ahead.
You can also book an appointment online with a Doctor up to 15 days in advance through My Health Online.
For an urgent problem please ring wherever possible before 11am. You will be requested to give the receptionist a brief description of the reason for your request and a Doctor will call you back as soon as possible.
Urgent requests will only be considered for medical problems, no sick notes or Repeat Prescriptions will be issued. If you have run out of your medication please tell the receptionist and we will try to get your prescription done for you.
Call 999 in an emergency, chest pain and shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
The surgery also offers early morning and late evening appointments both with the Doctor and Nurse, for those who cannot attend during the normal working day.
Nurse Practitioner Appointments
Where appropriate a Doctor may book you an appointment with our Nurse Practitioner, usually following an urgent request made that day.
All Nurses appointments (morning and afternoons) are pre-bookable.
Due to the number of patients failing to attend for their appointment this may mean that you may not be able to see the Doctor on the day that you wish to.
In an attempt to try and resolve this the practice had developed the following policy:
If you fail to attend appointments without informing us, we will write to you asking if there are any specific problems preventing you from letting us know.
If you repeatedly fail to attend for appointments you may be removed from the practice list and have to find an alternative GP practice.
