Retirement message from Dr Judith Horner
Dear Patients:
Time to call it a day! I am retiring at the end of February. I know, I look younger than I am!
I love my profession and the privilege of being allowed into so many patients’ lives, having been in some way part of your Health and Life journey. In the process, I feel I have been given much more than I have ever given. Having joined the Practice in 1991, I take pleasure on seeing families growing though the years, this is continuity of care, the essence of general practice.
It is a joy to be in a type of profession where the learning is constant and where one can share so many emotions and experiences, thousands of stories and laughter.
I am ever so grateful to all at the wonderful Team (past and present) of the Courthouse Medical Centre. We have shared happy and sad times and everything in between as a family would. At the Surgery, we all share a common aim, and it is our patients’ best interests. Dear patients, look after the Team at the Courthouse because they sure look after you!
I am looking forward to what the future has to offer and in the short term a bit of a break after nearly 40 years in General Practice so far!
I thank you for everything and wish you all the best.
Dr Judith Horner

Let's Care Together programme
Let’s Care Together is a mentoring programme run by Business in the Community (BITC) and supported by Simplyhealth focussing on supporting unpaid carers with their wellbeing by connecting them with a volunteer mentor. We know that unpaid Carers have worse wellbeing outcomes than non-carers, and are likely to be time-poor due to their caring responsibilities. The programme aims to support carers by streamlining access to resources and providing practical support across the four pillars of wellbeing: Physical, Mental, Social and Financial. This support will include helping Carers to connect with friends and family, community groups and wider support, find wellbeing information and gain financial confidence.
Please click on the following link LET'S CARE TOGETHER - Business in the Community (bitc.org.uk) to access the Let's Care together website where you will be able to find more information as well as being able to register to the programme.
